  • William "Bill" DiCroce
    President and CEO, Veolia North America

    A 38-year veteran of the energy and environmental industries, including 20 years in the nuclear industry, William J. “Bill” DiCroce was appointed president and CEO of Veolia North America in February 2016.  He leads the water, energy, waste and resource recovery activities of Veolia’s North American zone, which has approximately 7,800 employees.

  • Nathalie Viens
    SVP Operations Canada East

    With 20 years of experience, Nathalie is an executive with leadership, operations and environmental expertise. With a focus on process re-engineering and operational excellence, Nathalie has been involved in many projects in her career spanning the whole lifecycle - from planning, design, value realization to systems implementations.

    She began her career with Accenture and held many roles over 15 years, including operational excellence consultant, project manager, transformation lead, program director and global offering lead. Throughout her career, Nathalie has led various service lines managing multiple functional and operational teams, to support go-to market strategy, strategic vision, business case and delivery of core capital projects around system and business processes. Nathalie has also served as the program director leading several major mining operation transformations and enterprise solution transformations as well as performing strategic assessments and impact analyses (business, processes, organizational) to improve operational performance.

    Nathalie holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in chemical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal.

  • Bruce Rintoul
    SVP Operations Canada West

    A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Bruce serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Veolia North America's Canada West business (Ontario and all provinces west of Ontario and existing Maritime Canada water operations).  In this role, he leads energy and water operations, all Environmental Solutions and Services (ESS) and industrial cleaning operations in the Canada West market.  

    Before joining Veolia, Bruce was Chief Operating Officer of Strike Energy Services, a Canadian oilfield construction company focused on pipeline construction, module fabrication and oil processing facility construction.  With more than 35 years of industrial waste, construction and maintenance experience, Bruce has held operational and executive positions at CEDA International, RSC Equipment Rental, The Churchill Corporation, and Philip Services Corporation.

    Bruce earned a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering at the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. at the University of Western Ontario.  Bruce holds professional engineer certification in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario and the Canadian Institute of Corporate Director ICD.D designation.

  • John Gibson
    EVP & COO Municipal & Commercial Business

    Now leading Veolia North America’s Municipal and Commercial business, John Gibson previously served as Senior Vice President for the South Region where he supported the water, wastewater and energy operations in the southern United States. Prior to this role, John served as the Vice President of Veolia Energy’s South Region operations, where he oversaw, managed and supported energy projects in the region.
    John has been with Veolia since 1994, and has more than 25 years of experience in utility management and operations. John joined Veolia’s energy business as a Marketing Engineer in 1994, and went on to serve in a variety of roles including Manager of Business Development, Director of Sales and Marketing and Vice President and Manager (in Baltimore and Atlanta). As a result, John has been involved in numerous projects ranging from water plants serving several million customers to combined heat and power (CHP) plants serving major industrial customers.
    Before joining Veolia, John worked at Aspen Systems Corporation, Air Products and Chemicals and the U.S. Navy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in General Administration from the University of Maryland. John also serves on various boards of directors, including the Northeast Clean Energy Council.

  • Jim Pawloski
    EVP and COO, Industrial Water and Regeneration Services

    Jim serves as EVP and COO of Industrial Water and Regeneration Services. In this role, he leads the operations of Veolia's Regeneration Services specializing in the recovery of sulfuric acid and gases of the refining process, which are regenerated into clean acid and steam used in wide range of industrial activities.
    Before joining Veolia, Jim had a 30 year career at DuPont, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, strategy, M&A, and business transformation. Jim spent five years managing DuPont's Clean Technologies business, which specializes in delivering innovative services and solutions to the refining sector. 
    Jim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

  • Bob Cappadona
    EVP & COO Environmental Solutions and Services and Industrial Canada

    In 1991, Bob joined Veolia Environmental Services as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the company's hazardous waste management operations and resided in Flanders, NJ. In 1996, he moved to New England to become the General Manager for the branch operations in that area, and in 2008, he became the Vice-President of Service Operations for the Eastern region of the company. In 2012, Bob assumed responsibility for Veolia's operations in the Western Region. In 2014, he became the Senior Vice-President for the Environmental Solutions and Services (ESS) business of Veolia's Industrial business line. In 2015, his scope of responsibility expanded to include Veolia's environmental business lines in Canada. In 2016, he was named Chief Operating Officer of both the ESS business and Veolia’s Industrial offerings in Canada.

    Bob started his environmental career in 1987 as an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer for the General Electric (GE) Company in Somerville, NJ. In 1989, he became the EHS Manager for GE's semiconductor manufacturing operations in the United States and Europe. While in this role, he experienced first-hand the falling of the Berlin Wall and the massive San Francisco earthquake and the environmental issues that ensued.

    Bob is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and has completed extensive graduate studies in toxicology at Michigan and environmental health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Most importantly, Bob is the proud dad of a son, Dominick. Bob is also an avid marathon runner (120+) and enjoys watching his son play soccer, hockey and baseball. Bob resides in The Woodlands, TX.

  • Robert Arendell
    EVP General Counsel

    As EVP General Counsel, Rob is the chief legal officer for Veolia North America, with overall responsibility for all legal and compliance issues, real estate and risk. Rob manages a team of lawyers and legal professionals responsible for contract negotiations and contract management, mergers and acquisitions, dispute and litigation management, ethics and compliance training, and legal aspects of labor and employment and business development.
    Most recently, Rob led the legal team for our Municipal & Commercial business as Senior Vice President and General Counsel managing all the legal aspects of the diverse M&C business -- including providing counsel for contracts, negotiations and business development activities.
    Rob joined Veolia in 2002 as Senior Counsel focused on litigation management. Since that time, he served as Northeastern Regional General Counsel for Veolia’s North American water business and Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary and Head of Government Affairs for Veolia’s North American energy business.
    Before joining Veolia, Rob worked as an Associate at Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar, LLP and Reinhart, Boerner, Van Deuren, SC, focusing on business litigation for commercial, environmental and securities matters. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Maine and received his juris doctorate from Boston University School of Law.

  • Augie Schulke
    EVP HR and CHRO

    Augie is EVP HR and CHRO for Veolia North America.  He was most recently Corporate Director of Human Resources for Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies North America.

    Augie has been with Veolia since 2010 and has two decades of experience in aligning business strategies and human resources solutions. Prior to joining Veolia, he served as Vice President, Human Resources for a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and performance materials.  Augie has held senior positions in HR for companies in the chemical, information services and healthcare industries in the U.S., European and Asian markets.

    Augie has a M.B.A. in human resources and finance from Lewis University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University.  He holds the Senior Professional Human Resource License, Certified Compensation Professional and Certified Benefits Professional License.  He’s also participated in executive education programs at Stanford University, Northwestern University,London Business School, INSEAD University in executive management and human resources.

  • Jason Salgo
    EVP Finance and CFO

    With over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, Jason leads all financial and accounting responsibilities for Veolia North America.  Previously CFO of Veolia Energy North America and interim CFO of Veolia Water North America, Jason has been with Veolia Energy and its predecessor company, The Trigen Companies, since 2006, working as Treasurer and then VP of Finance before becoming CFO in 2011. 

    Prior to joining Trigen, he was Vice President - Finance for Calpine Corporation. As Vice President at Calpine, Jason performed the analysis of risks and benefits of new investment opportunities for the company, financing for power generation facilities, and working with Accounting and Treasury Groups on compliance and cash management for several subsidiary entities. At Calpine, Jason played a critical role in the execution of more than $5 billion in capital market and debt transactions.

    Before joining Calpine,  Jason was a Manager for Generation Ventures Associates (GVA), a power generation developer. At GVA, he was an integral member of the development team for several proposed large-scale international power generation projects.

    Jason has a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

  • Sergio Corbo
    SVP Marketing & Communications, CMO

    Sergio is responsible for leading the Marketing and Communications team to support the strategic initiatives of Veolia North America, managing a team of marketers and communications practitioners responsible for the brand, marketing initiatives and segmentation, digital and social, internal and operational communications.

    Prior to working for Veolia, Sergio was Chief Marketing Officer at General Electric Energy Management where he directed strategic commercial development and global growth. He worked at Schneider Electric in various leadership roles, covering Marketing, M&A and Strategy, including the launch of Schneider’s Renewable Business.

    Sergio holds a Doctor Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Universita' di Firenze in Italy and Strathclyde University in Glasgow, UK and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Sergio is known as a thought leader and has published several articles in multiple languages across the world, as well as a book, “Chasing Customers”. Sergio is a frequent speaker, executive coach and facilitator to C-Suite audiences.

  • Brian Clarke
    SVP Strategy and Corporate Development

    Brian leads Strategy and Corporate Development activities for Veolia North America, working to evaluate new business opportunities including acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex bids and contracts.  Brian is also responsible for developing VNA’s growth strategy working in close coordination with our business line heads, Bob Cappadonna, Jim Pawlowski and John Gibson.   

    Brian joined Veolia in 1999 in the legal department of Veolia Water North America, holding a number of positions with VWNA, including CFO and General Counsel.  Brian has also been EVP of Corporate Development and Strategy for Aegion Corporation, a partner at the Chicago law firm of Seyfarth Shaw and a member of the legal department of Waste Management, Inc, including General Counsel of the company's hazardous subsidiary, Chemical Waste Management, Inc.
    Brian has bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Illinois, and is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois.

  • Nisreen Bagasra
    Chief Procurement Officer

    Nisreen joined Veolia in 2018 and reports to Bill DiCroce, CEO of Veolia North America (VNA). As Chief Procurement Officer, Nisreen is responsible for leading VNA’s procurement organization to maximize value and mitigate risk across the company’s supply base, for both direct and indirect spend categories. Nisreen’s team is responsible for managing national suppliers, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and compliance to purchasing policies and processes. Her team is also responsible for VNA’s travel, fleet, and purchasing card programs. Besides managing North American procurement operations, Nisreen has a seat at Veolia’s global executive procurement counsel, which is responsible for strategic decisions on global spend categories. Her team works with Veolia’s Paris headquarters (DAG) to implement global agreements in North America.

    Nisreen brings over 15 years of experience at start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Veolia, she led the commercial sourcing team at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals. Nisreen began her career in management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Since then, she has held several leadership roles within procurement, including founding Optispend, a procurement consulting services firm.  Nisreen earned an MBA from Babson College and has completed an executive program at MIT Sloan School. She is a frequent speaker at procurement and supply chain conferences and has authored whitepapers and articles. She is also a former Olympic level competitive athlete and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

  • Steve Marcolini
    SVP Information Systems & Technologies (IS&T) & CIO

    With 32 years of experience in IT, Steve is responsible for all Information Technology activities for Veolia North America (United States and Canada.)

    Steve joined Veolia Energy in 2008 as Sr. Director of IT responsible for aligning IT strategy with the business mission. In 2011, Steve was promoted to Chief Information Officer and charged with setting the vision for IT and developing and executing the IT strategy in support of the business strategy, in addition to assisting with the creation of a shared IT environment across North America. Most recently, Steve led the cross-functional teams chartered with implementing a major ERP crossing all lines of the business.

    Prior to joining Veolia, Steve led IT teams in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Food industries. He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Providence College and an MBA from Bryant College.

  • Bill Fahey
    SVP Technical & Performance and EH&S

    As the leader of the Technical and Performance department for Veolia North America, Bill is responsible for driving operational and technical performance. The Technical and Performance team provides technical support and assistance to all the North American Operations. His group is also responsible for implementing and enforcing standards, benchmarks and applying technical solutions for improving business performance. 
    Bill has a worked in utility business for over 30 years.  He has used his expertise in reliability engineering to support projects in North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.  Prior to joining Veolia, Bill spent 13 years with the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority in various roles including the position of Asset Manager of the 1.2 Billion gallon per day Deer Island wastewater treatment plant. Bill was one of the technical leads for the design, construction, turn-over and start-up of the Boston Harbor Project.
    Bill earned a bachelor's degree in marine engineering at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.
