CHATHAM, ONTARIO -- Veolia Canada is celebrating the reopening of its hazardous waste treatment facility in Chatham, Ontario, which has undergone significant upgrades with the addition of advanced technology to meet the needs of industrial and municipal customers in Ontario and other provinces in Canada.
The team celebrated the completed upgrades at Chatham at a ceremony in June 2023, unveiling a state-of-the-art hazardous waste treatment centrifuge that separates components in oily water and industrial sludge so the water can be treated and recycled. The team also celebrated the expansion of the on-site "pit building" where waste materials are stored for treatment and which has been retrofitted with numerous safety features.
