Last week, 92 Veolia customers, along with carriers and other stakeholders in the supply chain, from all over the country attended Veolia's Sulfuric Acid Safety Seminar in New Orleans, LA.

As part of our commitment to Product Stewardship and in order to better service our customers’ needs, Veolia hosted a day-long sulfuric acid safety seminar in New Orleans that trained attendees from across the country (operators, mechanics, engineers, EHS professionals, etc.) on a variety of safety, environmental and regulatory topics.

During the training, some of Veolia's subject matter experts shared our non-fuming sulfuric acid safety technologies and experiences to help attendees improve their environmental, health and safety management processes. The seminar went into very specific detail, explaining best practice procedures for sulfuric acid including properties, uses, storage, handling and emergency response techniques.

Following the classroom training, attendees were given an in-depth tour of Veolia’s flagship Burnside sulfuric acid regeneration plant in Darrow, LA.
