Veolia renews its wastewater O&M partnership with the Town of Seymour

Since 1994, Veolia has provided operations, maintenance and management (O&M) services to the Town of Seymour for its wastewater system.  Due to the success of this Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Veolia recently renewed its agreement with the town for an additional ten years.   Under this contract extension, Veolia will continue to manage the billing and customer service, while providing O&M services for the 2.93 million gallons per day (MGD) advanced secondary wastewater treatment plant, 49 miles of sewer lines, four siphons, ten wastewater pump and lift stations, septage receiving and sludge disposal.

“Over the course of this more than 20-year partnership with Veolia, the Town of Seymour has achieved consistent regulatory compliance, improved safety performance and greater efficiencies in its wastewater operations,” said First Selectman W. Kurt Miller.

As North America’s oldest and largest water and wastewater services provider, Veolia has successfully operated municipal wastewater treatment plants for over four decades.  Ranging in capacity from less than 1 MGD to more than 300 MGD, Veolia currently operates 183 municipal wastewater treatment facilities in North America – outpacing the expertise and experience of any other firm in the industry.  Learn more about our infrastructure solutions in the Northeast HERE.
