## The Gatlinburg Relief Fund, established by the local government’s Chamber of Commerce, recently received a donation of $25,000 from Veolia North America for recovery efforts dedicated to citizens of Sevier County.

The incident, which spanned more than 17,000 acres across Eastern Tennessee, prompted the involvement of FEMA, the American Red Cross and the Multi-Agency Recovery Center. Veolia’s contribution exists in tandem with funds collected by the [East Tennessee Foundation](http://www.easttennesseefoundation.org/)’s Sevier County Community fund, which has since raised more than $200,000.

Veolia works in Tennessee on four projects statewide, including an operations contract with Gatlinburg Wastewater Treatment Plant. Locally based M&C Project Manager William Ehrenbeck, second from the right, delivered a check on behalf of the company to city officials.

Although recovery is ongoing, cities like Pigeon Forge and similar communities across the region expect a quick restoration to the vacation destination they’ve always been.
